Basketball News - Wild West Shootout in Texas



The Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki scored 53 points, and added 16 rebounds and four blocks against the Houston Rockets on Thursday Dec. 2. Too many it seemed like a Texas All-Star game, with the states best players.

Opponent Tracy McGrady of the Houston Rockets matched up with 48 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists.

The backcourt combination of Jason Terry and Jerry Stackhouse added a spark off the bench for the Mavericks. Terry and Stackhouse combined for 27 points and 11 assists.

The game went in to overtime as the Mavericks scored 20 points over the Rockets 13 points.

Houston's next game is againt the 6-8 Philadelphia 76ers. Dallas squares off against the 8-8 Utah Jazz.
