Hot Corner - Happy Halloween, Terrell Owens

"Let's just say that Terrell Owens will not have a Happy Halloween." Such a strong quote from Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis. Is the hardest hitter in the NFL all talk, or will he enforce?

Ohh what a nice Halloween treat; Terrell Owens with a bulls-eye on his chest and Ray Lewis seeing red.

"Ray Lewis is a very good football player and so is T.O.," Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress said. "If they come across each other, so be it."

The two friends-turned-foes face each other for the second time since their mini-feud began when Owens and the Philadelphia Eagles face off on Sunday. However, their first meeting took place in a meaningless preseason game in which Owens and Lewis each played a little more than one quarter.

Owens, the Pro Bowl wide receiver, and Lewis, the All-Pro linebacker, have had some words to exchange since Owens stabbed the Ravens in the back in August, forcing a trade to the Eagles after the San Francisco 49ers dealt him to Baltimore.

Lewis has warned Owens not to go across the middle. Owens responded by saying that Lewis isn't the hardest hitter he has faced.

Believe it or not, Lewis worked very hard to get Owens to join the Ravens in the offseason. After a paperwork mishap prevented Owens from becoming a free agent, Lewis got his wish when Baltimore acquired the outspoken receiver from the 49ers. But Owens protested the trade, refused to show up for a physical and insisted he wanted to play for the Eagles. The union then filed a grievance on Owens' behalf to make him a free agent.

"I'm sure everybody knows that we've had a little war of words, but these are issues that you pray about," Owens said. "I have no grudges against Ray and I'm not sure how he feels about me. But as far as I'm concerned, he's my friend."

Personally, I have been waiting for Terrell Owens to receive a huge hit ever since that "Sharpie incident". I have seen T.O. do sit-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks and many other unnecessary antics in the end zone. Now it is Ray Lewis' turn to celebrate after he knocks Terrell Owens' block off.
